ClashFX vs ClashX
What's different?
ClashFX evolves the familiar menu bar workflow with an actively maintained mihomo core, plus TUN, a built-in editor, and an optional Pro dashboard.
| Topic | ClashX | ClashFX |
|---|---|---|
| Core engine | Clash / Clash Premium (stalled updates) | mihomo (actively maintained) |
| Enhanced Mode (TUN) | Limited / legacy approach | ✓ Built-in free, one-click |
| Config editing | Mostly external editors | ✓ Built-in YAML + validation |
| Subscriptions | Basic | One-click import + auto-update |
| Dashboard | External yacd | yacd (Free) / native SwiftUI (Pro) |
| Update channels | Single cadence | Stable + Lab |
| Chinese app bypass | Manual rules | ✓ cn-apps-direct auto-updates |
| macOS | Older baseline | macOS 12+ · native Apple Silicon |
| License | Open source | Free: AGPL-3.0 · Pro: commercial |
ClashFX is independent from Clash and mihomo. It is a local client only — no nodes or subscriptions are sold.
When to choose ClashFX
- You need system-wide TUN for terminals, games, and apps that ignore system proxy
- You want a core that keeps up with modern protocols
- You prefer in-app editing, subscription management, and diagnostics
- You may upgrade to Pro for a desktop-grade dashboard (still in development)
