01 / FIRST RUN

Install and launch

Always download from the official GitHub repository. Setup takes about two minutes.

  1. Download the latest releaseChoose the newest Stable build on GitHub Releases.
  2. Move it to ApplicationsOpen the package and drag ClashFX to Applications.
  3. Confirm first launchFollow the macOS security prompt.
  4. Find the menu bar iconClick it to access ClashFX controls.

02 / CONFIG

Import your configuration

ClashFX does not provide proxy servers or subscriptions. Use a configuration you are authorized to access.

  1. Copy the subscription URLKeep this sensitive URL private.
  2. Open ConfigurationChoose the import action from the menu bar.
  3. Paste and name itUse a clear name you can recognize later.
  4. Select and updateConfirm that nodes and rules load correctly.

03 / TUN

Enable Enhanced Mode

TUN captures system traffic and requires administrator access the first time.

Before enablingVerify that regular system proxy mode works first.
  1. Activate a working configurationSelect a known-good node.
  2. Enable Enhanced ModeUse the menu bar control.
  3. Grant permissionEnter administrator credentials when prompted.
  4. Check connectivityOpen familiar sites and confirm rule behavior.

04 / MIGRATION

Migrate from ClashX

Most Clash YAML files are reusable, but some legacy core-specific fields may need changes.

Avoid conflictsDo not run ClashX and ClashFX at the same time.
  1. Record your settingsSave subscription URLs, custom rules, and proxy groups.
  2. Fully quit ClashXDisable its proxy and TUN first.
  3. Import into ClashFXAdd the URL again or move your YAML file.
  4. Test in stagesTry system proxy mode before Enhanced Mode.

05 / PROCESS RULE

Route one app directly

Process rules use the executable name and are most useful in Enhanced Mode.

No network in Enhanced Mode

Restore connectivity first, then reproduce one layer at a time.

  2. Test only system proxy modeUse a known-good node.
  3. Check DNS and permissionsLook for secure DNS or old network extensions.
